Jeffrey B. Pafford, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Pafford was born and raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He followed in his father’s footsteps and attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry where he graduated as valedictorian of his class in 2005. While in dental school he received the Certificate of Merit from the American Association of Endodontists. He was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society.

Dr. Pafford received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics from The Ohio State University. During his residency, he also earned a Master of Science degree for his research on the application of ultrasonic irrigation during root canal treatment.

Dr. Pafford is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Georgia Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, the Hinman Dental Society, Druid Hills Dental Study Club, Spear Education Study Club, and Pankey Learning Group. He is also a founding member of the International Academy of Endodontics. This group of quality-minded endodontists is dedicated to promoting clinical excellence, continuing education, interdisciplinary dialogue, and the oral health of patients (www.endodonticacademy.org).

Dr. Pafford is a contributing author to the renowned textbook, Best Practices in Endodontics: A Desk Reference (2015). His clinical work is featured in the textbook, Advanced CBCT for Endodontics: Technical Considerations, Perception, and Decision-Making (2017). Both textbooks are used worldwide by endodontists.

Dr. Pafford has lectured locally, regionally, and nationally on many topics in endodontics including restoration of endontically treated teeth, conservation of dentin in shaping, endodontic access design, resorption, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) use in endodontics, nonsurgical retreatment, diagnosis and testing of head and neck pain, advanced irrigation techniques, treatment planning compromised teeth, and collaboration between dentists for optimum dental care.

Dr. Pafford lives in Atlanta with his wife, Kaki, two daughters, Carter and Caroline, and dogs, Wally & River. He thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and you'll often find him fly fishing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, or paddleboarding. Dr. Pafford also enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake, cooking, especially grilling meats, reading, learning, and exercising.
